BIO.NRW invites you to the 14th Business Angel Congress (BAC) on 11 March 2025 at the Rheinblick 741 in Düsseldorf. The theme of this year’s congress is “Float or Flourish: Diving into the InvestmentPool” and it promises to be a highlight for investors and entrepreneurs alike.
The event will feature engaging presentations that explore various avenues for securing investments, emphasising that there is always another option available. Delegates will also participate in lively discussions about the evolving landscape of investment opportunities and how entrepreneurs can navigate these options effectively.
The event is an excellent opportunity to connect with founders, small and medium-sized enterprises, business angels, venture capitalists, institutional investors, and policymakers. Delegates will also be able to dive into new international developments and build valuable relationships within the investment community.
Programme Highlights:
- In the session “Navigating the Future?”, experts such as Benjamin Monheim (Osborne Clarke) and Dirk Honold (Technische Hochschule Nürnberg) will discuss political frameworks and new financing instruments.
- The session “The Tide of Truth: A Look Back at the Last Years in the Investment Ocean” will feature insights from Marek Kozlowski (NRW.Venture/NRW.Bank), Anke Caßing (High-Tech Gründerfonds), and Daniel Parera (Kurma Partners) on successful investments and development trends in NRW and Europe.
- In her keynote speech, Minister Mona Neubaur (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action, and Energy of NRW) will outline political perspectives for biotechnology and life sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia.
- The “Lighthouses of Success” session will feature industry leaders such as Bettina Möckel and Detlev Riesner, discussing key success factors of companies like BioNTech, EvoTec, and Miltenyi Biotec.
- The session “Deep Dive into the Investment Pool” will explore how investors are adapting their strategies in the life sciences sector, including new financing models such as Crowdfunding 2.0 and Venture Capital.
- The final session, “Crossing Oceans: Evaluating Germany’s Funding Landscape Against Global Trends,” will analyze how Germany’s financing system compares internationally.
