New ideas for health in the face of demographic change
The "LifeSciences.NRW" lead market competition is entering its second round. In the first round, 19 innovative research projects have already been selected for funding. "LifeSciences.NRW" is one of eight lead market competitions funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The InnovativeMedicine.NRW cluster invites interested parties, especially small and medium-sized companies in NRW, to a free information event on participation in the second round of the "LifeSciences.NRW" lead market competition:

The aim of this information event is to offer interested parties the opportunity to obtain significant information on this sponsored competition and to obtain individual advice on taking part in the competition.
The "LifeSciences.NRW" lead market competition aims in particular to develop and test solutions to the major social challenge of "Health and well-being in demographic change". With the funding priorities of "(bio)medical research", "research-intensive medical technologies", "food analysis and safety", "integration of medical technologies in system and care solutions" and "maintaining and improving quality of life and social participation", the competition addresses highly topical segments that play a central role in the sustainable and forward-looking development of our state. In this way, the state aims to strengthen the innovative power of the life sciences lead market in order to secure sustainable competitiveness, employment and prosperity and increase the international visibility of North Rhine-Westphalia as a leading location for the life sciences.
Applications can be submitted during the first submission period until January 15, 2018.
