4th Annual Meeting of the Bio4MatPro Competence Center

The next annual meeting of the Bio4MatPro Competence Center is coming up! This event will take place on June 4-5, 2025 at Covestro, in Leverkusen and serves as a platform for the exchange of ideas and strategies that are of central importance for the future of the Rhenish region and the further development of translational research in the bioeconomy.

Program:

June 4, 2025: Internal seminar
The first day is dedicated to our internal project seminar, where we present the latest results and future plans of our Boost Labs. The focus will be on

• Use and functionalization of renewable raw materials
• Development of switchable adhesives and biofunctional building blocks
• Scalable, biocompatible production concepts for biotech products in various industries

In the evening, there will be a strategy meeting with the project managers in which we will assess the current status and work out development opportunities for the Bio4MatPro competence center.

June 5, 2025: Open day for external guests
The second day of the event offers an open platform for all interested parties:

• Keynotes by leading experts in the bioeconomy who will provide insights into projects in the model region bioeconomy
• Panel discussions focusing on structural change, technology transfer, start-up culture and business model development in SMEs

This day offers ample opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking between those involved in biological transformation.
